I have no fking clue as to what the hell is happening anymore. The longer this drags on, the more I think even the author has no clue. Why can’t people just be straight with each other? Just tell the kid he can’t cultivate. But this seems to be a theme among Chinese stories, never telling it like it is, always round about and never on point. It becomes boring as hell. Also, please can someone tell me why Wang Lin is not the redheaded dude?
WL is actively trying to cleanse Ping’s soul of the resentment, hatred, & torture he endured at the hands of Mei. I imagine he’s walking a fine line between cleansing and not telling him so as to build resentment if he knew the full truth of how he was created and why he can’t cultivate. Mei left Li’er now Ping to WL because she knew what she did was evil and wrong. At this point WL said not even technique and medicine will further cleanse his soul he just needs to live his life out and have it cleanse slowly and naturally over time. Then he will be able to reincarnate as a whole soul instead of a damaged one as he is now.
Had you actually been paying even a bit of attention to what was being said in the last 2-3 episodes all of what I wrote would’ve been abundantly clear. As to why WL isn’t “the redheaded dude” I really think you need to work on your critical thinking and attention to detail. The WL we are seeing is the clone body of his original (the redheaded) who is now a god body. In order to not draw unwanted attention while he is establishing full base of power and to double the power he will ultimately gain WL split his body into two. The OG/redhead/god body is in the center of the planet where he joined the newest sect with the 7 colors sect leader before heading to the demon realm.
The god body continues to cultivate while what we’ve seen for most of the story now has been his clone body living and also cultivating and adventuring. We will likely not see WL merge to his god body for quite some time as he is away from that planet doing other things we’ve seen thus far. Hope that cleared up your confusion and memory lapse.
This was a really good episode. It had lots of depth and emotion in it. Which rarely happens on this show. At the end I was unable to decide if his son left with his new bride to go somewhere else leaving his dad there. Or if he want on a honeymoon. What kind of goodbye did we see?

Also, you’re confused because Tencent censorship. Basically Wang Lin and Liu Mei had sex a while back in the story and she pushed all her resentment onto Wang Ping thus corrupting his soul. At this point WL said not even technique and medicine will further cleanse his soul he just needs to live his life out and have it cleanse slowly and naturally over time. Then he will be able to reincarnate as a whole soul instead of a damaged one as he is now.
Had you actually been paying even a bit of attention to what was being said in the last 2-3 episodes all of what I wrote would’ve been abundantly clear. As to why WL isn’t “the redheaded dude” I really think you need to work on your critical thinking and attention to detail. The WL we are seeing is the clone body of his original (the redheaded) who is now a god body. In order to not draw unwanted attention while he is establishing full base of power and to double the power he will ultimately gain WL split his body into two. The OG/redhead/god body is in the center of the planet where he joined the newest sect with the 7 colors sect leader before heading to the demon realm.
The god body continues to cultivate while what we’ve seen for most of the story now has been his clone body living and also cultivating and adventuring. We will likely not see WL merge to his god body for quite some time as he is away from that planet doing other things we’ve seen thus far. Hope that cleared up your confusion and memory lapse.
This was a really good episode. It had lots of depth and emotion in it. Which rarely happens on this show. At the end I was unable to decide if his son left with his new bride to go somewhere else leaving his dad there. Or if he want on a honeymoon. What kind of goodbye did we see?
Our boi Wang Lin displayed how depressed he is about his sons inability to cultivate. And got blotto for the first time in 800 years. Which is a feat in itself.
Wang Ping left to go be at the top of the mortal world through his own effort. That was the last conversation between him and WL had in this episode. Basically Wang Ping will climb to the top of the mortal world, we will see that in next episode. Definitely not a honeymoon goodbye, but I’m gonna prove myself to father because I dont want a handout goodbye… but with good intent and not resentment towards WL. Meanwhile WL is suffering deep depression at his own son’s situation. Its his only family he has left now and he is powerless
I don’t think he should tell his son how he came to be. That would only cause the resentment to ignite. Telling him he was actually a death curse and not human.

Also, you’re confused because Tencent censorship. Basically Wang Lin and Liu Mei had sex a while back in the story and she pushed all her resentment onto Wang Ping thus corrupting his soul. Wang Lin created a body for Wang Ping to help rid the resentment and purify his soul so he can enter the cycle of reincarnation, but he can’t Cultivate because his core life essence was formed from that sword energy… but Wang Ping is his biological son. Still, it would be rather hard to tell your son he can’t Cultivate because he’s basically already dead. Thats why it “drags” on… heh. This small arc never felt like a drag to me when I read it. One of the few times in the novel where I shed a man tear. Go read the novel if you’re confused because of shitty tencent censorship
