I am rewatching Slay The Gods right now.
Never gets bored
The second season’s coming, so yeaaa! 🔥
Yup. Two weeks after Hna Li returns.
Hah, typo! Hna Li 😂👉
Was really hoping the fight between Jie n Chan Taoisms was what’s about to happen, but it looks like it was actually happening 😵💫
I really don’t like those two sides fighting each other, there are soo many characters from both sides that I like now 😖
Mc’s explanation of the situation using the world as the body n the Tao-of-Heaven as it’s immune-system was soo easy to understand 👉
Thought the fight started cuz Nezha killed tha Immortal-gal’s disciple, but from the looks of it, it looks like it started cuz Nezha called her Auntie n Grandma, and Nezha’s Prev-Master(Immortal-Taiyi) unrestrained mouth 🤣
I was wondering what that platform-thingy was those dead Immortals spawned on, looks like it’s ‘the Platform-of-Investiture’ and is there to temporarily keep the Immortals who are supposed to die in the Name-list-catastrophe, that dies early 🧐
Aff.., I let myself loose n forgot to restrain again! Huuuge comment! 🫨
It’s not even that long. Did you check out the channel?
-It isss!! Mine is*ahem* *my comment is looong!! 😏😂
What channel?
Blumineck
Angel, wakey wakey!!!!
I’m here just busy with some stuff fam lol
I thought the TA got to you again.
You commented before @Angel xiong!? 不可能!! 🤣
不可能!! Indeed.
Did I understand every fucking thing that was going on in this episode? Hell fucking no. I’m no Li Changshou.
Did I enjoy it, though? Fuck yeah, I did.
Less-goooooooo!! 🤝
Later, Li Changshou also transmigrated into this world and discovered that everything was unfolding according to Chinese mythology, although he did not know the true reason why. Because of this, he possessed knowledge of many future events and developments. Since the world was following the same framework as Chinese mythology, any major calamities and tribulations recorded in those myths were destined to occur in this world as well.
The Heavenly Dao sought to ensure that everything proceeded according to the established mythological timeline, while Li Changshou worked to alter fate and prevent many of the tragedies that were meant to happen. As a result, the two often found themselves in conflict.
One of the event mythology involved Nezha. Nezha accidentally kills the disciple of Lady Stone Spirit (Shiji Niangniang) after finding and shooting the “Heavenly Bow and Arrow”a powerful artifact belonging to his father, Li Jing. This careless act, caused by boredom, triggers a major conflict with the immortal Shiji
The Heavenly Dao did not want Li Changshou interfering with or changing these predetermined events. To prevent him from altering the course of fate, he temporarily imprisoned him within a dream realm until the incident and its consequences had fully played out.
Umm, I think you’re referring to Senior Bold, not Senior brother. Senior Brother is Mc
Hey~ I already got this part, guess I’m not totally lost. Nice!
Also cuz I read one of this when you commented it before 😗
I had forgotten his name, yes, its Senior Bold.
I got all this from reading your previous comments, too. The Heavenly Dao was never separate from TA (Hongjun) then?
What confused me was the bit at the end. What the hell was going on in the mortal world? Who was that cultivator pretending to be mortal? Why was the fox demon with the emperor? Why is that general being forced to give up his daughter, and to whom?
Hong Jun is part of the original senior Bold that merged with the Heavenly Dao. Conflicts arose between his identities, leading to today’s events, and ultimately Hong Jun personality achieved victory through the margining with the Heavenly Dao.
This story is following Fengshen Yanyi (封神演义), commonly translated as The Investiture of the Gods:
This is how it went down in Fengshen Yanyi (封神演义):The Investiture of the Gods
1. Who Was the Cultivator Pretending to Be a Mortal? The cultivator is name is Jiang Ziya (姜子牙).
Jiang Ziya spent decades studying Daoist arts and cultivation on Mount Kunlun under the guidance of the Primordial Heavenly Lord, Yuanshi Tianzun. Although he possessed great magical abilities, his master eventually realized that Jiang Ziya was not destined to attain immortality through secluded cultivation. Instead, his fate was tied to the mortal world, where he would play a crucial role in overthrowing the corrupt Shang Dynasty and establishing the Zhou Dynasty.
When Jiang Ziya descended from Mount Kunlun, he lived among ordinary people as an elderly man despite possessing extraordinary powers. He concealed his abilities and attempted to make a living through various occupations, including selling flour, operating a restaurant, and telling fortunes. Most of these ventures ended in failure.
One of the most famous stories about him concerns his unusual fishing method. Jiang Ziya would fish with a straight hook and no bait, holding it above the water rather than in it. When questioned, he explained that he was waiting for the “rightful fish” to take the bait. The fish symbolized a wise ruler, who would eventually be King Wen of Zhou, the man destined to change the course of history.
2. Why Was the Fox Demon with the Emperor? The Nine-Tailed Fox Demon (九尾狐) was sent to the Shang court as part of a divine punishment orchestrated by Nüwa.
The last ruler of the Shang Dynasty, King Zhou (Di Xin), visited Nüwa’s temple and became captivated by the beauty of her statue. In his arrogance, he composed a disrespectful and lustful poem about the goddess and left it inscribed within the temple. Outraged by this insult, Nüwa decided to punish the Shang Dynasty. She commanded three demon spirits, led by the powerful Nine-Tailed Fox, to infiltrate the imperial palace and accelerate the dynasty’s downfall from within.
The fox demon possessed the body of Su Daji and used her beauty to manipulate King Zhou. Over time, she encouraged his worst impulses, contributing to widespread corruption, cruelty, and tyranny throughout the empire. Although her original mission was to carry out divine punishment, the fox demon became increasingly sadistic and took pleasure in causing suffering, eventually bringing destruction upon herself when the gods and righteous cultivators intervened.
3. Why Was the General Forced to Give Up His Daughter? The general was Su Hu (苏护), the Lord of Jizhou, and his daughter was the renowned beauty Su Daji (苏妲己).
King Zhou heard reports of Daji’s extraordinary beauty and demanded that she be sent to the capital to become his concubine. Knowing the king’s reputation for cruelty and excess, Su Hu strongly opposed the order and even publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with the corrupt Shang court. In response, King Zhou dispatched imperial forces to punish Su Hu and suppress his resistance. Facing the prospect of war and the destruction of his territory, Su Hu was ultimately forced to submit. To protect his people, city, and soldiers from annihilation, he surrendered and sent his daughter to the capital.
The Tragic Twist
The real tragedy occurred during Daji’s journey to the capital. While traveling, the innocent Su Daji was secretly possessed by the Nine-Tailed Fox Demon. Her original soul was displaced, and the demon assumed her appearance and identity. As a result, the woman who arrived at King Zhou’s palace was no longer the real Daji but the fox spirit disguised as her.
Using Daji’s beauty and influence, the fox demon manipulated the emperor, accelerated the collapse of the Shang Dynasty, and became one of the most infamous figures in Chinese mythology.
Two follow-up questions:
The answer is a bit complicated because there are two stages to Senior Bold’s fate.
Senior Bold (Original Original) was the original transmigrant who arrived in the primordial chaos before the world existed. After endless ages of solitude, his true spirit split into multiple personalities. These personalities eventually became figures such as Hongjun, Luohou(Demon Ancestor), and others. Senior Bold was also the split personality of the original Senior Bold.
When Senior Bold was “Deleted,” it refers to Hongjun eliminating the original main personality. Hongjun merged with the Heavenly Dao, killed the main personality “Lang(Bold),” swallowed the other splits, and completely united with the Heavenly Dao. Since both were the same being, he completely absorbed Senior Bold into himself, “killing” him.
2. Didn’t Li Changshou correct King Zhou’s personality?
What Li Changshou was correcting was Di Xin himself, his temperament, decision-making, and the trajectory of his life. His goal was to make Di Xin a better ruler than the one recorded in the original Heavenly Dao script. In the original version of history, Di Xin was supposed to become a notorious tyrant whose actions would justify the destruction of the Shang Dynasty. Li Changshou tried to reduce those flaws and prevent the situation from becoming as extreme.
3. So was Di Xin actually corrupt after that?
Li Changshou’s corrections were real, but they could not completely negate a tribulation that the Heavenly Dao itself was determined to enforce. So the fall of Shang is a Must.
Li Changshou’s changes were partially successful in softening some aspects, but the Heavenly Dao’s overwhelming “general trend” overpowered individual adjustments, That’s why King Zhou still ended up on the corrupt path despite the earlier guidance. Heavenly Dao can override personality to maintain the general, original timeline to continue, so he did the same with King Zhou (Di Xin).
And this is why I call the TA a bitchass
Oooo, nice~
So the catastrophe has begun, starting from this episode it seems like there will be many disasters, and the cause and effect flow is getting more and more unclear. I think after a few episodes and rewatching it maybe I will understand better, because honestly I don’t understand the chaos in this episode
Honestly this feels on life support at this point.. they just dragging it.. feels like when u finish the main quest in a sp game and u just doing irrelevant side quests.
Different opinion 👍
Fact is it’s 100% Ne Zha’s fault.
Yup! It’s Nezha’s fault for the Tao Ancestor forcing fate to play out as intended.
How is Li Changshou ever supposed to get the upper hand if the powers that be can just step in any time like this? Even with all of his plans, it doesn’t really matter if the old guy or other sages just step in are like “nope, this person’s gotta die”.
That’s the thing! It feels like bruv can’t do anything, but as we all know, he will definitely do smtn!
All of them are basically just going to kill one another at this point. Before the catastrophe actually does happen. This primordial world they freaking live in really doesn’t have peaceful times. And Changshou always has to be the one to take care of the cleaning up when the time comes. It’s funny but these are the people who were celebrating at one point and drinking to their hearts content only to be killing each other in the end. 🤔🤔🤔
Also, let’s be real here the Dao Ancestor is basically the Thanos of this freaking universe with how gung-ho he is in trying to do whatever the ToH wants him to do. I know he also follows a path about putting balance into this world. They have an almost similar mindset it’s scaring me a little bit right there lol. Are we sure they are not best friends?? 😅😅😅
But is the Dao Ancestor really doing what the ToH wants? Or is it the other way around?
good episod👍👍
Indeed
all charactor have women face but man body lol.
