As usual, maybe the mom’s from a special family or clan. I was more shocked that he and his brother share the same mom. In cases like this, the MC’s uniqueness comes from both, but primarily the missing parent’s bloodline. Which means his little brother should also share that uniqueness. But the story hasn’t really focused on him yet, and he’s not a mage-warrior like Linley.
