It would have been much better if Sterling and A Xiu had joined the battle instead of the meeting. I was expecting them to show up just when the war was on the verge of being lost and completely turn things around.
She might think that what Dilin did was heartless but at least he killed all of those demons who were looting the damn place. She really needs to understand that they are at war here and having emotions run through your head in times of crisis like this, being soft will just get you killed in the process. 😤😤😤
Also, those buildings can be rebuilt it’s not like it’s the end of the world here. At the end of the day she really is just a princess, it’s not like Dilin killed any of their people here for crying out loud. I do agree that it’s a messed up plan but it is what it is, if they have nothing else to stop these guys from attacking them. You gotta do what you gotta do to survive and protect the people you are with. 🤷🤷🤷

All she’s done so far is be a nuisance, a dead weight, watch from the heights with an iron wall of soldiers around her, and act like a child: “Are they here yet, are they here yet?” Easy to throw blame after it’s done. She’s useless even maintaining morale just lashing at her Commander in front of everyone.

Not sure about you guys and maybe it’s budget restraints, but the outer ring of Shangdu doesn’t look that badly burnt post-rain. The outer wall is still intact, and people can still do guard duty on it.

I’ve said this b4 on other mistakes, I love Zi Chuan (and especially Dilin) but the author’s knowledge of classic warfare is almost none.
So don’t worry, Mr Author, there’s no danger of me “imitating in real life” what I see here, as the warnings tell us. Chances are, even if I did it as the hero does it would still get me killed 😝
