yes sadly I learned donghua adaptations can’t always be 1 : 1 as the novel. Something has to be changed or skipped no matter what.
It is a sad reality check. Adaptations would easily last 20 to 30 years each if they follow every detail. That is way too much commitment because no one knows if the adaptation would be popular enough to be profitable, and would it remain so throughout this very very long period. Also keep in mind that changing the pacing strategy mid-story also results in backlash.
