No doubt, the animation is top-tier; it is already number one, and the fight choreography is unbeatable in this Donghua. Plus, Han doesn’t act on emotions. He is decisive and calculating.
A good story is not just fights and flirting, there’s periods of calm or physical inaction, but everything bears on the outcome, and every character adds to the story. No one is an island, their actions interconnect and move the plot onwards, their choices, their motives, the result of their behaviour… The net made people stupid. I don’t mean you here, I see that you genuinely wanted to see his fight. But people are too impatient now and have short attention spans, if it’s not nonstop fights with loads of big bangs, booms and fancy shiny SFX they don’t wanna know.

My introduction to donghua is RMJI. Its my no.1, and i love it the most.
But it seems they cought some bad habits from anime and draging stuff without any reason. Watching side characher fighting for more than half an episode, and in the end with no result.
This donghua is already slow burn, why make it even slower ?

I hate a brutal cliffhanger as much as the next guy, but looking past that, man the animation in RMJI is absolute art. When it comes to sheer visual storytelling and breathtaking choreography, no one does fights quite like them—though Demon Hunter is a close second. RMJI is in a league of its own; it genuinely leaves you speechless.
I just wish this episode had run a bit longer so we could have fully savored the older cultivators throwing down and finally gotten a taste of Han Li in full action.
