RMJI over melodramatic? I don’t believe it. I won’t even call it melodramatic or even dramatic.

It’s one of the few sensible donghuas where the MC uses strategy instead of just winging it and hoping for plot armour recovery.

It also doesn’t give the feeling of walking into a red light district that other donghuas with harem have, where the ladies are scrambling over the MC like they have been starved for ages.

I wonder what happened in those 7 episodes to come up with such critique, considering it’s slow burn.

I disagree on RI being better story. Its nice but its not that great. There are too many tropes that you see and excessive use of tragedy which was expected to work in its favour but kinda of backfires. I would rate RI story wise lower than Fanren

damn i must say studio changes some things in the story time to time in adaptaion. however, they always end up good.
