Emotional but a great episode as always.
They fleshed out how Brother Zhou was living and surviving before he died (as compared to novel) and that really added the emotional aspect to this episode.
The setting of this episode is little different from novel.
They changed the setting where the killing takes place and made it a bit dramatic(as in Xu Qing’s entry). Instead of other First peak disciples/Princes, Wu Jianwu is supposed to be with Captian(who has recovered fully) and Innkeeper of Plankspring valley (with Linger, the snake). Xu Qing comes and notices the guard of Wu Jianwu who is on the ground floor. Xu Qing’s baleful aura makes everyone notice him. The Guard says one line, Xu Qing confirms its him who killed Brother Zhou and send his skewer into his neck, his soul is destroyed and his body explodes by lightning. All this is seen by Wu Jianwu from second floor, he then confornts Xu Qings which is same as in episode. Except there are more funny one sided convo from Jianwu and he also volunteers and pays the file of 10,000 spirit stones for the killing.
Then there is a little interaction between Linger and Xu Qing, which is important for some future scenes.
Maybe they will show this interaction in later episodes.
Also, there are more funny one sided statements from Jianwu in novel. Jianwu also volunteers and pays the fine of 10,000 spirit stones for the killing instead of Xu Qing.

This is a top tier anim for me, the action is amazing and the soft scenes are done with beauty without getting to depressing..Love it
