imo the novels were way better to read than watching the donghua version since the donghua takes forever to reach the next arc after this one
as well as the fact that the author for the novel is writing more to this story

yeah i kinda dropped it after episode 1, Idk how this got 7 seasons, maybe its popular in china.

And when it comes to 2D , anime still dominates the market.

I read both novels back then (in raw). I would say release that witch is top notch for novel, because of how well-thought the author has planned the magic in real life plot (it was terribly hard to find loopholes in the author’s logic). Versatile mage was pretty average in terms of writing, but I liked it because I was a sucker for the genre. Didn’t watch the donghua for release the witch, but for versatile mage I watched every season – again both plot and animation are average but I’m simply a sucker for this genre xD

release that witch can win anime of the year, it is that good. 10/10 , also Quanzhi Fashi is ok, i watched it many years ago but its hard to remember.

Oh yea, ‘Release That Witch’. I’ve read it’s Manhua before, so was very excited to watch the Donghua version of it, but unfortunately they stopped it midway for some reason. Only has 8 or so eps, so didn’t watch it 😔

I think its decent, but I watch the first episode, and wasn’t really interested. Its seemed kind of boring to me. I don’t really watch 2D Donghua except A Will Eternal and lord of mysteries. I got too many Jap anime to watch anyway, like COTE or Re:Zero, etc…

But I’d rather watch release the witch, I heard a lot of good reviews for that one. Too bad its not here on Xin.
