I don’t even know wtf is happening with this series anymore. Every plot is so random. I don’t even know what his goal right now is except trying to revive his waifu. His goal used to be the revenge but he achieved it already. The overall story feels a bit pointless to continue. It used to have some good dopamine fight scenes but now even the fight scenes feel pointless because he is way too strong now. That is the problem with giving too much power to MC. There is no more underdog battle thrilling dopamine experiences. Since he can win every battle without any struggle, it feels really boring to watch now.
His goal is still the same, resurrect Waner. But to do so, he needs power above all. So he needs to increase his cultivation.
He was doing so in the Demon Realm. Until he got chased through that Warphole by super powerful evil Cultivators who can oneshot him, forcing him to escape into the Luo Star System – Lower Level Rain Realm against his will, just to survive. Or he would be dead. Its that simple of a situation.
Then he exhausted his abilities in the Luo Star System. This is where he fought the Ancient God Snek where he stole that massive Spine from. And where the Arc of his fake Son took place.
Now he entered the Thunder Realm, which is leaps and bounds above the Rain Realm. Which has much more Power or Energy to absorb and Celestial Treasures, that help him increase not only his Power aka Cultivation level and Dao in general. He can also find wisdom and Immortal Artifacts that can help him revive his Wife.
Its just a long journey towards power, and the realms are vast as space. Quite literally. And shit happens all the time. Greedy Cultivators are after him, nonstop.
-So what does he do, and can do? Find places of power to absorb. And find artifacts and scrolls or stones of wisdom to increase his firepower. All while other bad Immortals hanging around, ready to drop in and steal his stuff.
+Imagine you play an open world video game, like the Witcher 3 or Assassins Creed etc. And you just entered a new massive Map. Where you go? The first Village to accept some quests. Or do you explore randomly?
Either way, there are enemies lurking around and strong ones protecting the treasures you need to get more powerful.
Point is, you don’t know where to go. And the area is unfamiliar. Just like in this show right now.
We all have to acclimate to this new Area first. Just like the MC. Dropping the World and everything upon us in two episodes helps no one.

Just as a reminder for you who don’t have all the information. A canon movie was sceduled for release before ep. 152. But it got delayed.
Now we sit here waiting for the movie. I like to think positive, when the movie is out I can binge watch a lot of episodes without a cliffhanger.
So please don’t rate the show badly just becuase the movie messed up the timeline for the moment. The show is still fire and it will all be fine as soon as the movie is released.

Good thing I do read, watch and appreciate an episode. Because of it I understood there’s something missing when he’s a “Great Cycle Ascendant” in episode 151 and suddenly he’s now a “Corporeal” in this episode?. Also what??? He killed the freaking BLOOD ANCESTOR who’s a 2nd Step Cultivator????, that’s when I realized a movie exist (I’m not really updated on the Donghua world, busy with life) and so I just stop watching before 4 minutes mark of this episode.
