is this just one of the recap movies, or continuation of story and worth watching? so many are just “movies” that are really a shortened version of the whole season or arc

nope it was a continuation of the story, in the novel,zi yue got engaged with wang teng, zi yue was forced to accept that engangement from their clan and to save her, ye fan goes to forbidden zone to get the coffin as a countermeasure against great emperor weapon from ji clan and wang clan,so bassically that
and when did I say it wasnt a continuation? All I said was whatever this movie covers hasn’t happened in the series which was the OP’s question if its the recap of an arc/season

Zi Yue looks beautiful. It’s only a small change but she looks more grownup and polished.
Someone should teach these Princes the advantages of Chess over Bao. They’d have realised Zi Yue’s danger as the Queen piece from the start and taken her out of reach.
Wasn’t Pang Bo a Demon Emperor? Why is he so weak? They’re only strong when it’s to bully MCs, when it’s to help they’re useless. Where are his subjects, shouldn’t he have troops too?

Da Di, Da Di, Da Di, always talking about this Da Di (Great Emperor) but we never actually see one, only wisps and fragments.
I missed the black dog, great seeing him make an appearance!
And in the end, even though Wang lost, it was all part of the villain’s plan. Ofc. 🤭 So the next arc is about “uniting all races”. So in tyrant speak this means getting everyone under their feet. Look forward to that.

This movie reminds me of Yang Kai vs Ink clan from Martial Peak. He was also called Void Great Emperor and this demon have similar characteristics to Ink Clan, Anyone else saw similarities?

I STILL PREFER SWALLOWED STAR MOVIES, WHEN LUO FENG LEVELS UP, HE LEVELS UP. YOU KNOW THE FIGHT AT THE END IS EITHER GOING TO BE AN ABSOLUTE VICTORY OR AN ESCAPE OF THE ERA, THIS WHOLE “TWIST” THING WHERE THERE IS ALWAYS A BIG BAD STRONGER THAN THE MC WAITING IN THE SHADOWS TO RUIN THE WIN IS BORING. FOR ME, DONGHUA IS SIMPLE, BREAK THROUGH AND THEN REFINE EVERY ENEMY IN SIGHT!!!
