I know it’s in everything. Just felt like pointing it out here. Whenever an MC gains a power or level boost, that’s when they start facing enemies with a higher cultivation level. It seems like new enemies or factions we’ve encountered before suddenly bring out stronger opponents the moment the MC levels up.
The MC can never simply enjoy their new power by continuing to face enemies of the same rank they just achieved or those they’ve already surpassed. Instead, as soon as they gain that power boost, the previous enemies they used to battle seem to vanish and are replaced by even stronger foes.
You know that it’s a build up fam they won’t be introducing crazy powerful enemies if our boi can’t handle them as the story goes they will appear eventually.

That’s one of the reasons I love RI so much. Wang Lin frequently encounters foes of all cultivation ranks, with a handful being vastly more powerful than him. And like Li Changshou, he tends to hide his level, so most never know how powerful he actually is.
