@00.58] Mc saying: “I’m worried you’ll catch a chill” while holding a giant boulder got me wheezing 🤣
Mc may not be the smortest, but him getting the gist of everything. He’s no fool! 🧠 🔥
Absolutely frigging LOVED how Mc was gonna finish Smoll Cui-Chan off!! Taking zero chances!! 😈 🔥 🔥
Mc wouda totally killed him if it hadn’t been for tha Old-man!! 🔥 🔥
Also, both the fight/power scene were Marvelous!! 🤩 🔥 🔥
mc is not a strategist but calling him “not the smartest” is not true at all. chui actually later in the novel laughs at a dude for trying to murder mc in secret while pretending to be all friendly with mc. do you know what he said? he said “you may think because chen pingan never reacts or just stand there and do nothing that he doesnt know or understand what is happening, but thats because you dont understand the type of people chen pingan has played mind games with before. the moment you act, is the moment you die”.
63 days without Fanren 🧘
Ngl, it’s so funny to see him like this after his crazy fiasco in the previous episode with his massacre moment. The only thing keeping him behind is doing anything to Chen Ping’an lol. Welp, we know he is a master strategist, so I’m curious how he is going to get out of this one, especially Chen Ping’an asking those questions regarding the stuff that’s happening around them. 🤔 🤔 🤔
Hahaha, now bro is doing some detective work cause he feels Cui Chan is sus as hell. Well, in truth and in reality, he is not wrong about that one, though it’s just that the way he does things is for the benefit of not just him but also Chen Ping’an and his group. But damn, looks like Chen Ping’an really got him in a corner with this one, especially when he tried to swear an oath using his fake name. 😅 😅 😅
It’s also cool that we get to see what’s going on the other side and not just whatever Chen Ping’an is doing right now with Cui Chan. Bro over there is interrogating the shit out of him atm haha. I guess since he doesn’t know what his main objective is in being with them, especially since he can’t explain it. If they actually started fighting in this episode, welp, shit. 🫠 🫠 🫠 Chen Ping’an is really just worried about the kids.
I can already sense that this place is going to be hectic again. We also get to see the Sword Spirit again. She is finally making another appearance this season. The gathering of these powerful individuals in one episode, bro, geez!!! 😅 😅 😅 A’liang was at one point, and then Cui Chan, now we have these 2 entering the field. I’m not complaining, though, if we are getting to experience and see some action between Immortals. You know it’s going to be insane!!! 🔥 🔥 🔥
Still sad we get to see Qi Jingchun as a flashback, his time really was just during season 1, bro, and became the start of our boi’s journey. It really is a big loss that he is not here anymore. I guess to keep things moving forward, it was his choice after all. 🙏 🙏 🙏
While those 2 Immortals are busy doing their own thing. Chen Ping’an and Cui Chan, on the other hand. Things are heating up over there as well. Jesus Christ, this episode!!! 🔥 🔥 🔥 Chen Ping’an really wanted to kill him on this one cause he used his strongest trump card to the max and wasted it all, that freaking Sword Strike. He spammed the shit out of that for sure, haha.
They are always increasing the quality of this donghua in every episode, sheesh!!! Okay, so even in death, Qi Jingchun is still able to do something here and stop Cui Chan from doing something bad. This man right here is the definition of a goat indeed, bro. 🐐 🐐 🐐 Now I can’t wait for that next episode cause that preview alone is getting me even more hyped AF.
I think you should write your own novel. 100 chapters at least.
Sometimes I write long comments like this, but I can’t do it consistently like you.
Nah, in terms of novels you have to do a lot though fam.
They really better not let this mf live still. It’s bad enough the sword spirit girl from Apothesis is still alive. They are getting more screen time than the MC at this point.
Tianqiong isn’t a sword spirit, she replaced Shun the sword spirit completely because simps be simping too hard. Every Apotheosis content is about her so the writers had to go with her instead
well damn…
wait does this mean mc could have taken the dragon palace?
That’s not the case, it’s that the sword aura she gave him is extremely powerful and much higher in ability than Cui Chan but he can’t channel it all he can do is release it and direct it and he only has one shot left coz she gave him three units of energy and also Cui Chan has a disadvantage against PingAn due to him connecting himself to him as a spiritual student
The wording was “3 small strands of Sword qi”
They say evil people live the longest. Shame.
😒 😞 😞 😥
so peak
Noooooo it was just getting good
Bro is most shameless sage.
Oh my gosh, I love the fact that Ping An remembered who he was all the way back from the first season and I think they only met once before Cui Chan started his scheme to connect himself to Ping An, so Ping An kept his name in his head and Cui Chan just thought of him as a means to an end, then when he showed up in front of him saying “my name’s Cui Dongshan” he was instantly suspicious. When he swore using his fake name, Chen Ping An knew he was a complete snake.
But the main thing I can’t wrap my head around is their master knows how evil and malicious Cui Chan is so why would he send him to even be in the presense of his technically third student when he knows he wouldn’t be able to handle him, even if he can’t kill Ping An, he can do a whole bunch of damage to everyone around Ping An, that just seems irresponsible for such a powerful sage who knows how far his student has strayed. I love that Sword Sister showed and was like “boy, I dont care if Ping An kills that boy-old man-clone-puppet-thing, you shouldn’t be sending evil conciousness clones around my master, now catch this sword formation”
And Qi Jingchun leaving behind a remnant spirit because he knows his senior and how he does things, perfect
In fact, the Sage of Literature has been keeping an eye on them throughout their journey. Furthermore, all four boys are unknowingly super protected: Chen Ping’an has the sword spirit that definitely wouldn’t let him die, Li Baoping has his first older brother Li Xhisheng (who we’ll see in the next episodes) and is not “an ordinary person”, Li Huai is the son of a martial artist at the peak of the 9th kingdom and is also the favorite of the old Yang cultivator of the 14th (who sent that Yin spirit to protect them), and Lin Shuyi is the son of an important official of the Da Li empire. In all of this, keep in mind that Qi Jingchun had warned Cui Dongshan that he would punish him if he harbored bad intentions.
I don’t really get why these two powerful beings (the sword spirit chick and that teacher dude) think Chen Ping’an is special.
He seems like a generic good guy idiot that wants to help and protect the people he cares about, he isn’t overtly malicious to strangers, but he isn’t overtly charitable either, and he has bit of a hero complex in wanting to help people he sees are in immediate trouble, and he is rather ruthless and bullheaded, but I imagine there are millions of people who fit that bill in this world, nothing about his character so far screams “this kid is our guy we are hedging all our bets on”.
The only one who saw something special in Chen Ping’an was Qi Jingchun. “In the end, we are all disappointed by this world.” These were the words Qi Jingchun said to the sword spirit, who was moved by these words because she wondered why a respectable and recognized scholar like Qi Jingchun would insist so much on choosing Chen Ping’an, who has average to low talent and doesn’t seem to excel in anything. The world is dominated by the law of the strongest, we have seen it and will continue to see it in all donghua: if you are right but weak, then you are wrong because you are not strong enough to assert your right. Ultimately, on the path to the Great Dao, everyone uses schemes, deceptions, etc. and ends up with a dirty heart that ignores the principles of good conduct. Try to think back to the first season in particular to everyone’s opinion of Qi Jingchun’s sacrifice. In all of this, Chen Ping’an is an exception: his heart is pure, he is kindhearted, and if he has the chance, he wants to help people because he believes it is the right thing to do, but above all because he himself is aware of what it means to find himself in those difficult situations and have no one by his side. But he is not naive, in fact, he believes that kindness should be repaid with kindness and evil should be repaid with justice. This is why he was about to kill those cultivators because he was convinced they had killed the mother and child, while the reason he attacks Cui Dongshan so violently and ruthlessly is because he senses that Cui Dongshan is up to something and therefore “bets” that he could pose a danger to the children he is accompanying. Throughout the journey, Chen Ping’an remained in a state of awe; he absolutely did not want to disappoint the person he admires most, Qi Jingchun, who had asked him if he could help Shanya Academy if anything happened. Exactly as you said, Chen Ping’an doesn’t seem to be “special” in fact he is not a cultivation prodigy and the good heart he demonstrates could be common to many others but what makes him special is the difficult childhood he lived: born poor, birth porcelain destroyed, parents died when he was 5 years old, he often helps the mother of his friend Gu Can and she takes advantage of it even going so far as to wish him dead, he helps the dragon girl Zhu Gui who was on the side of the road dying and she takes advantage of it by stealing his remaining fortune,… living all this does not necessarily lead you to develop the MC mentality but instead normally leads you to be more ruthless and cold and to have a delusional view of the world. As you said, the MC is stubborn and pedantic, and it’s true. In a few episodes, he’ll have a conversion with the Sage of Literature and won’t be able to grasp the depth of his words and the words Qi Jingchun and A Liang had said to him. This is because the MC’s purity of heart is heavily based on ignorance. He literally grew up in a bubble and has no idea how cruel it is to live in the reality of the “jianghu,” what people’s hearts really are like, what kind of chaotic relationships can be created where it’s not always easy to clearly distinguish right from wrong. In short, Chen Ping’an isn’t special, but he’s one of the most “human” protagonists in the donghuas.
Extremely well said.
Thanks!
Actually that answer is in this very episode . In this world where everyone is a scheming bastard and playing chess with lives and resources , who would you choose a hero to undo all that ?
Someone who doesn’t even play that game. As Cui Chan put it – you flip the board when you don’t like the outcome …
Think back what Chen PingAn did when put into the game? he fought and killed two immortals with nothing but a broken crockery. And then literally challenged monkey king to a duel to death . He doesn’t bid time . He doesn’t change pieces. He doesn’t even play the game. He flips the board , breaks the pieces and goes for the throat.
Qi Jingchun tried to change the system from within. Result ? you saw it. SO he chose someone this time who would just break the system altogether.
Thanks. I did gather all that, but I guess I took it for granted seeing how that’s a common trope for MC’s, but looking at it from the perspective of a living and breathing world, it makes sense people in that world would take notice of such a person in their immediate proximity.
Atlas also helped me grasp the more philosophical nuances of Chen Ping’an’s character in relation to the story and motives of the other characters.
I kept getting too hung up on my own morals and was thinking “Isn’t this character “special” because he is a good guy? Then why the heck does he keep resorting to violence so quickly, aren’t we trying to fight the idea of might makes right for the sake of the weak and innocent? It seemed very hypocritical to me, but the point wasn’t strictly about morality, it was about purity of ones heart, for good or bad.
and to answer this version of your conclusion. its not only you, but many peoples first mistake is thinking mc is some god of goodness. he is not. he is stated a million times to be pure of heart, but he will still murder you with that exact same pure of heart, and still be unstained and look and feel like a person that has never killed anyone. chen pingan in the novel did not have a billion year talk with chui in this scene he found chui a threat and instantly tried to kill him for real. thats chen pingan. not some kind soul that never does anything wrong.
also i should mention. it is stated the person who holds the biggest grudges in this story. is infact mc. he just pretends not to, but he has a kill list of everyone that had has ever wronged him that he deems bad enough to deserve death. its why certain people like the prince are so afraid of him.
thats because you have completely lost the plot and have zero idea who chen pingan is. go back and rewatch the entire series or go read the novel.
Peak!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
Both side battle was epic! Master piece. 💖
the qi guy was a mastermind 🤣
Coming along nicely. Not quite how I pictured the fight but still a good show.
