As much as the prelude was good, im not into flashback arcs, because while they give us solid details, my issue is we know where we are int he present story so it doesnt ADD progression, it just fills in things we should of had earlier. Making it some what pointless in my mind as we already know the situation currently and these flashbacks add nothing to the current plot.
But now we are back on track and MC is basically doing what he wants, refining his 3 paths as one, stopping the corruption as the Inspector [though he renamed himself Demon Hunter] of Mt so QWQ doesnt care what he is upto either.
Seems Xiao Ye learned from MC not to just let injustice go, as they went through some serious bonding in that awful fiend arc with OG Pony [RIP Pony].

The saints are trying to fight against the demons but they themselves became ruthless and apathetic to the suffering of mortals. Also youre confusing the chinese title of saint with that of the west’s. God’s and saints in chinese mythology aren’t necessarily “good”.
so technically the fiend lord can be controlled but it just needs a balance or stronger force to tamp it down, so is going to be that he kills the three corpses and takes complete control over the fiend lord space or are we looking at Kurama situation where they all sing kumbaya. There is also something noticed… The three corpses are all chained up but in the preview, his saint body is also chained which suggests that the representation of his body refining whatever shape the SHA QI will take is also locked up and I think thats all being done by the demon slayer saber because it was that weapon that got them to fuse and “play nice” in the first place. If not for his saber, they would destoyed his body from the inside out, fighting for dominance
