I don’t know if they are trying to do the Medusa BTTH thing where she’s constantly saying “his life is mine”, but I hate it. It doesn’t work in this plot line because she’s not as strong as Cai Lin and 2nd she has no real reason to threaten his life other than her insecurity and jealousy over not being desired by him. What a farce! Then I find out the viewership was poor in China so we may not get another season of this for years if ever.

When you consider Bilibili has Mortal’s Journey, Herding Gods, & Immortality as their flagships I fear they will move on to other series like Ever Night and The Other Side of Deep Space before putting more $ into this one. Hell they even have Walking The Way and Aliens Among Immortals going though both of those aren’t making much waves nationally or internationally. We’ll be lucky if we see a new season in 2 years.
