Great episode, Being able to call deity girl into the real world to help them. If NeoSkills erased the old ways it would basically close off all access to the interior. Its beginning to look like the old ways and neo skills has cycled back and forth over a long period of time.
Every time a big war breaks out over the two factions. If one wins. It cuts off something they didn’t know they needed. Then after both are gone the cycle begins again.

Lets not jinx the show. Focus on the Dao so it rolls right into another episode after the next one. Remember (12-13, 24-26, 50-52) does not necessarily represent the length of a season. It’s more like measure of money they were able to raise for a show back when sponsors were much different. And when they were short or wanted to make an extra episode they held crowd funding events. Fans donated to money to get limited edition swag of their fav shows. 1mil per 12-13 eps + summery movie. Japan and China never really had Anime seasons until outside influence started saying they did. Longest running shows like Bleach, One piece, Dragon Ball, Gintama. never had a seasons. Until Funimation claimed they did on its streaming site.
Everything was raw unorganized but worked non the less. It gave creators and edge and drive to fulfill fan expectations. I think the feeling they got from the way things worked and being part of it. Was more wholesome and real. they must have felt connected on higher level than they do today.
the industry functions like a clone from Hollywood in ways Producers are individuals now instead of large corporations like McDonald’s and Honda.

In reply to Spriggan. Who knows fam since not a lot of people watched this one but in my book it definitely needs another season. Even if we have to wait for it for a while it will be worth it.
