This episode made it seemed like the “Dao” and “anti-Dao” is an angle that’s like “working with nature” vs “using/manipulating nature”

Feels quite out of nowhere for the rest of the court to directly pointed the connection and possible self serving angle to the accusation. I thought it’s only the State Teacher who knew, otherwise I was expecting a much bigger uproar considering it was already pretty controversial that our boy is from Daxu ruins

I think the key point this episode was in the text at the very end where it spoke of the “heavenly punishment” by stating that it has been imitated by sects in the past in order to keep kingdoms beneath them in check.
Basically I think someone is pulling the strings to setup Heavenly Demon Sect to take the fall for a fake Heavenly Punishment; i.e. they are faking the Heavenly Punishment so they can blame the “heretics” and get the Heavenly Demon Sect wiped out by the Emperor or the State Teacher and/or maybe get the reforms reversed as well.
With how quickly they moved to blame the Heavenly Demon Sect, I have to imagine that it is a conspiracy that was likely initiated by the Crown Prince to take out the MC and his sect before they can come after him for the death of their elders.

Just as many in the comment section have guessed. I too think it’s not the, “Will of Heaven”, but others above Divine Bridge. The MC found the moon ship, and we saw the sun ship when they tried to take over Daxu. In reference to what the monk was saying. In fact, many beings in Daxu are powerful but hiding. And they may be hiding because at the moment they cannot surpass the Divine Bridge realm. And not just because of “Heaven’s Will”.
