Its constant forced low effort “comedy” is incredibly fucking grating and does extreme disservice to the supposed concept of the show, that’s MC’s revenge and the fight against demons at large. They literally just made a throwaway backstory then reduced the show into a generic, poorly written clownfest. Frankly Demon Hunter is just worse in every way and it’s not even close.

Looks like BTTH author is not happy, cause DPY is getting a complete redo/makeover from scratch from ep 1 … Same studio but under a different network.
I mean the evidence is pretty clear from that post, why else would there be a remake of season 1 of DPY? That spells either the studio or author not being satisfied with Tencent and what they did with Btth and martial Universe. Cause Martial Universe had problems too, the last season was rushed or skipped like hell…
From what i have read on reddit, someone said that the author wasn’t satisfied with how season 1 was done.
So, the studio is remaking season 1 from scratch then they will continue with season 2 after season 1 ends, if everything goes well.

And there is a new season, its listed for 52 episodes, so it will be s1+s2.

Starting over is a good choice. I just started rewatching Sky Supreme from ep1 again. Not having to wait a few days for another episode is making it even better. Many of things he’s been dealing with now. Were mentioned in early episodes of the show.

Yes, Soul Land and it’s the reason I started watching Donghua.
After I watched Doulou Continent (Soul Land) Drama not the Anime, but no any news regarding the continuation, then I decided to watch the Anime Adaptation, I started from Episode 1 and after I catch up with the current episode I start waiting weekly.
After that I started watching so much Donghua, now I’m not even interested in watching Drama but I’m still waiting for 2 series only Joy of Life season 3 and Sword Snow Stride season 2.
But I think after Soul Land they’re series that has been completed from that time but I forgot, it’s just my speculation.
Wu Geng Ji, Land of Miracles, Devil Land or Devil King or what I forgot the name, no any news regarding the new season till now.
Do watch it just waiting for it to end it’s been long and I hope they don’t start adding episode that strays out form the original series……….they always do that
