aint no way qin yu actually nearly died last ep, hes got like a bajillion top tier treasures he made that he didnt bring out
there’s power in numbers though. Didn’t he create his spear? It wasn’t useless in the fight. At least take the other treasures out to absorb the hits instead of his body, if the treasures break it’s better than just succumbing to death
at this stage, in raw fighting power, he couldn’t beat an exalted celestial stage enemy… but if he used the new universe, he could beat every single person except his new 2nd big brother, because almost all powers were derived from their understanding of the universe’s laws, which don’t work in the new universe
he could at least have maybe held out long enough to escape to his own universe. and if he really stood 0 chance why tf did he risk everything to pop out to kill the purple lightning guy taunting him? risking his own life, the lives of everyone he cares about, maybe even his universe, all to kill the guy who revealed the scheme which qin yu’s “father in law” was much more guilty of because it’s his own daughter he was selling out and his own grandkids he was gonna murder. if qin yu didn’t think he could win against the lightning exalted, he is pathetic for letting his anger destroy not just his life but the future of his loved ones.
i get what you’re saying but that’ll just be flaunting his wealth more than doing anything effective and he wasn’t dumb enough to fight with all he had, it probably looked like that tho but nah, he had backups. if he wanted to he’d just enter his universe and wait a quadrillion years and nothing would happen
he only survived because his wife saved him, was that his backup plan? last episode he even had the internal monologue of something like “am I really gonna die here?” it didn’t seem like he had a plan to survive
Is only for dramatic effects in donghua. In novel, he just took a little bit of time to heal the injuries to his soul using the 8 source energy of his new universe before he show up to his family and friends in good condition.
and I don’t think he could enter his universe while he was inside the lightning exalted’s trap room thing. otherwise he’d 10000% just pop in there, then optionally pop back out on the outside of that trap room to fight him head on if he wanted to, instead of just taking all those blows and basically dying

This is quickly becoming my favorite show. All of them just giving up instantly when quin yu appeared was so cool to see. PEAK EPICNESS! Next ep gonna be sweet. I have a feeling the thunder city grandpa’s older brother knew what was about to happen and that’s why he told him to step back from helping any further since he was no longer a match for quin yu. This is all my own interpretation of this episode thou, still not sure if thats the case.
