In the renegade immortal universe, this cannot happen, Why do the laws of the caveman world limit this, since any master who dies there, their essence, Dao, and laws are cultivated by a stronger master, so the Dao limits everything, That’s what the creator of the caves wanted. Wang Lin at his peak, reaching the 10th step, he can rewrite, or change reality itself. If he wants, he can erase the original universe itself, …and rewrite it however he wants. And even at the peak of the 4th step he reached at the end of Renegade Immortal, he literally went back in time and had his past self obtain the pearl A soul-challenging challenge. The guy can be resurrected and change the future, but that’s only in the 4th step.

It was visually stunning. A feast for the eyes, a showcase of China’s CGI , courtesy of Uncle Xin’s spies.
But script-wise, I felt lost. Some parts felt rushed and fragmented, like being dropped into unexpected scenarios without intro or explanation, in rapid succession that overwhelmed and disorientated, and us supposed to go along with it… like enemies going from boastful attackers to babbling losers in a few secs, or “illusion-girl #1” blink-and-you-miss-it scene and whose purpose I didn’t get.
There wasn’t much sense of struggle and achievement, things felt too easy, LF too sure of himself, the one-man army against half the Universe, and though prolonged fights bore me, these felt too brief, one hit or two and they were out. Instead of focusing on a few well-chosen opponents they made a catwalk of enemies strutting in one after another, and a one-man army against most of the Universe.
There was too much going on. They could have made several movies out of all this material but they ground all into one. By the time I got to the end I was hardly processing everything anymore.
The movie was pure cinematic spectacle but as for story, the series remains way above.
I completely agree with you about the plot and storytelling; I found it quite chaotic as well. I was getting whiplash. However, I somewhat expected that from a movie, which made it easier for me to tolerate. Personally, I believe they could have taken the approach of Demon Hunter or BTTH Three-Year Agreement Arc. Instead of cramming everything into the film, they could have presented this arc as a series of special episodes (4 to 6) or even as an entire season.

I swear there are a bunch of people on Earth after his generations and generations of travels and training that should be dead by now, one of them being his best friend, I know he joined the cadets wanting to eventually become a wargod but we never get to see how far his training goes. Is it that when the rights to Earth’s seas and skys were sold, they just came and extended humanity’s lifespan for free on the side. That general thats shedding tears of joy and pride should be dead by now

I’ve just be thinking about Luo Feng’s “clan” and I dont think it makes sense for it to have as many members as it does by the time he comes back the first time after 6000 years because its not clear how many kids his brother had and it not clear if his warrior son ever even got married and had kids in the first place, its only shown that his business man son had one baby while he was away, so how did a whole clan pop up behind that
Maybe the two sons had other childrens later which wasn’t introduced, or the producer decided to do genjutsu on our senses 😂
