I’d like to know where second miss deity is keeping her real body? When know where the body is of first miss sword deity. But second miss is unknown. And neither of them are very talkative.
Lao Chen jumping around the way he was seemed more like he was celebrating the fact that he could freely move around without pain. I had wondered why he always moved slow. He didn’t appear to be old. Then during the battle with the Neoskills. We learned Lao Chen has severe internal injuries. The kind that can kill him if they get to enflamed. It explains why his movements were always slow and limited. To reduce the chances of enflaming muscle tissue around his heart. Given those facts, getting into the zone with Wang Xuan became very liberating for Lao Chen. He wanted to cut loose after restricting his own movements for so long.
I want to point out one of my favorite things about Anime is, Half of the things going on in them are left up to the viewer to figure out using common sense. And doing so elevates the quality by leaps and bounds.
Like Wang Xuan, so too did Lao Chen get his ass handed to him by second miss sword deity. When she saw Lao Chen holding the source of all her pain. Her aggression went straight to rage on him. Wang Xuan’s said he would bring someone who could give her answers. But he didn’t tell the “someone”, they would be interrogated. Very funny “Tell her everything about the black sword”

Right, Wang never seems to capitalise on spending time in the interior. Now with the relics, and no need to hide it from Chen, he could literally spends decades/centuries [till the next morning].
This has been my biggest issue with this series in general is how Wang only ever does “just enough” to deal with the next problem. Instead of fully using his resources to just end these neoskill issues, or at least protect everyone properly by surpassing all the current masters.
If you can’t attack the strongest person, deal with all other weaker people around them until they can be strong enough to stop it. If MC or his team doesn’t strengthen up, all old skills will just get targeted non stop.
Guess that’s one way to drag out the story, MC can and should cultivate as much as possible asap but welp.
The problem before was that he didn’t have enough of the mysterious elements to stay long enough. These relics are rich in it. So he was able to stay way longer and bring Chen along.
