They are among the few good people left in this broken and battered world. Reminds me of Shi Hao’s back-to-the-past encounter in the Violet Bamboo Grove. Those dudes also treated SH with respect and hospitality. What a pity! It will be almost an eternity later before SH gets all his friends back again.😢

There’s a lot of fun and funny moments in this episode. But I have to give credit where it’s due. The Studio really put in effort to make every character stands out albeit just momentarily. They also look and sound differently. The Chicken-riding immortal is indeed speaking a strange dialect. Though I’m no Chinese, but after having watched tons of Chinese donghuas and dramas, I can hear the distinct accent.
I love that they’re trying their best to shape Shi Hao’s character. Previously, a lot of such funny moments were lost. Though the previous scriptwriter has done some damage but so glad that the studio realised their mistakes. It’s really impossible not to like Shi Hao because he’s so funny and endearing.

This phrase is just classic! Guess what, it’s not even in the novel but it’s so “Shi Hao”. It shows that the new scriptwriter really understands Shi Hao’s character and trait.
I also love the camaraderie between SH and Fatty Cao. The first thing they thought about was how to cook the chicken. Lol!! Birds of a feather!! It’s a pity Fatty lost his charm later on. Maybe the author realises that Fatty needs reverse redemption. He wants to give him an innocent and fun first life with Shi Hao before all the goodness gets buried.

Perfect World was one of my first cultivation donghuas and is one of the stories that resonated with me for the longest time. There’s no impossibly long periods cultivating, destroying huge areas to practice or flex, he doesn’t take shit, doesn’t get bamboozled by words or skin, his moral compass is rock solid and he fought for every inch of territory he gained. Genuine too. Not to mention he’s a giant of a guy, both in physical stature (2.1m) and monster talent, potential and actual achievement. I love Shi Hao.
