I’ve struggled with this show for a long time. After everything he went through to marry his wife. Not to mention the hell he put her through disappearing not once but twice. And after all of it. He takes off for decades at time now.
What kind of marriage is that His wife is a sweet, beautiful woman he neglects hardcore. She might have lots to do. But being lonely ranks at the top. As for him, He’s a battle junkie. who wont ever be able to adjust to a life without conflict going at him daily

I watched donghua during my breaks. I’m taking a course to get certified as an RBT. It’s a 40-hour course that I’ve been putting off, and the deadline is this week. The videos are long and boring. Doing it to a Pomodoro isn’t getting it done in time, so I said eff it. So I alternated watching the lessons until my brain hurts, then switched to donghua to decompress.

i keep watching this hoping it will have something good to offer, there is nothing really entertaining anymore, there is no relatable goal, like defending his home planet, he’s just out here getting stronger and that’s it, every episode is just more of the same, finding something that is so legendary, then it’s basically used for an episode or 2 then forgotten
i dunno it was fun to watch when he was an underdog surprising everyone, but now it’s just “meh”
Defending his home planet is always the goal. He has to keep getting stronger to maintain this goal, because if he gets comfortable that he’s lord of the galaxy, what happens when a stronger opponent comes? If he can’t go out and fight for resources to strengthen his people, they get bullied when he’s away.
He only managed to get the aliens out of his planet not long ago, and for that, he needed to be strong. Even then, you saw how difficult it was to convince them to get out of earth.
If you stay stagnant, you become redundant.
I think it’s easy to lose sight of this never-changing goal because his planet is not currently under imminent threat.
