nah… theres supposed to be a blue ox that is from the immortal realm… it teaches him several immortal techniques and helps him and silvermoon out…he was supposed to steal it from the moulan saintess… they did include it… its the candle flame that is blue…but in the end silvermoon gave it back… the blue ox is crucial for many upcoming events…

when he goes to the immortal realm he sends back an avatar to fulfill his long lasting regrets,,, getting rid of all worldly attachments to the mortal dust… his avatar gets in touch with the princess from the scattered star seas….and several other old acquaintances that are still alive…he gives the princess some pills and methods to breakthrough to find a spacial node of her own to make her way to the immortal realm…. before he disperses his avatar incarnation he gets in touch with liu and learns about wei wuya and child dragon emperor…he even tells him the historical events of what has been happening between the moulan and the alliance… that they become one of the members of the alliance.
also it mentions that child dragon emperor dies in a battle dispute with another nascent soul cultivator… but han li doesnt pursue this matter because it ultimately didnt have anything to do with him…
theres only one translation i know about so far.. it was from wuxiaworld… and they did have side talks with divine sense… the old dude with liu had tons of side talks like this… it wasnt exactly like how they are doing it in the donghua… but its just as hilarious if not more so…

nahhh … in the novel that dudes straight up a pervert coveting beauty….also her senior sister who was using a devil sword… she was fucking with some old man from their sect…they were pretty much dual cultivators….they actually sealed her in a cave… and they both went into the cave to subdue her by completely sealing her cultivation….turning her into nothing but a mortal so they could offer her to wei wuyas nephew to breed on without any resistance…
but han li broke in that cave right before they entered… he killed the old man and almost killed her senior sister.. only nangong wans plea of mercy stopped his hand! that devil blade was never in the novel either…
i know I was talking about wei wuya, not wei lichen. I knew wei lichen was a womanizer who had multiple concubines and performed Yin dual cultivation techniques on them.

they dont even show the old dude in this donghua… they switched out that old dude for the leader of the alliance (the one that is handling everything for wei wuya…hes a buddhist holding beads)… many characters from the novel are swapped out with other characters so people wont need to keep track of a huge character list… as an example… recently he asked a disciple at mount huanglong about a jade pendant that was given to her by doctor mo’s daughter….but none of that shit happened…in fact they switched up multiple character like this… actually doctor mo had 4 wives and 7 daughters,,, han li’s third sister is the one who inherited doctor mo’s medical codex and practiced medicine….she never became a cultivator and dies after travelings and healing(but they do meet at that clan location and he does promise to take revenge for her)… one of the other sisters gets taken by some of doctor mo’s enemies and made to marry the enemy… han li busts in and starts murdering everyone and she runs out and begs him to stop because she already had children with this enemy family… if im not mistaken … the medicine 3rd sister is the one who pointed han li in the direction of them and told them to go kill them… the seventh sister is the one that was taken against her will i think…he even tells the seventh sister that her third sister is alive and is the one that told him about what happened.

also the person from the very beginning of the novel when he enters maple valley… the female he saves who is drugged and about to be raped… they swap her out for doctor mo’s 3rd sister in many scenes…. she actually follows han li around for quite a while… becoming a golden core cultivator.. but fails to form a nascent soul…. han li learns of her death later on and feels remorse for not accepting her….he then meets someone later on who looks exactly like her ….i forget if its in the immortal realm or not… but she freaks out that he is staring at her and runs away… the location is in a cut throat location and she fears he harbors ill intentions….also when he is in qi condensation and kills the dude about to defile her body while she is drugged….han li takes actually kisses her while she is unconscious… he sucks on her lips…

yeah idk why they always do this, swap characters and change stuff but if there is one thing i learned, a donghua will never be 1 to 1 like the novel. too many cirsumstances, budget, time, rules, and regulations don’t allow it so. 😔😔
also han li had more siblings, brothers in the novel, but donghua cut them and just included him and his sister

and he stole their sacred candle flame treasure that summons a blue ox from the immortal realm…this whole interaction with this late stage nascent soul didnt ever happen i think…. that was supposed to be a fight from a taoist from tiannan…not a moulan warrior…. and this sage didnt even fight like the moulans do…. its all messed up
