Prequels cause more confusion and fact clashes than enlightenment. For example this wasn’t even her face, she only got it after she was taken in by the owner of crystal heart #2 ❤️🔥 So why did they give her the disguise face that she took on later if this happened b4?
As for her and red-head knowing each other from the start, they could have used a different character. Originally the 2 only met after her comeback.
Regarding her incarnation of Lumina Goddess, that’s supposed to come after she became powerful (or at least her awareness of it) and b4 they destroyed her life. That didn’t even factor in until much later when they widening the foundation of her power.
Why mish-mash things when they could have made it look more natural? It’s lazy scripting and recycling elements that didn’t need extra stuff, they were important in their own right.
Also, regardless of whatever difficulties she had b4 the first season began, and whatever frictions with the outside world that always exist in these settings, she seemed to live with her clan in harmony and prosperity, her father was well, a strong leader, he was in closed-door cultivation, her brother was with her, and there were no signs of these tribal oppression problems. She came across as trusting, happy and raised in a loving environment.
So what the heck? I love the donghua so I gotta point out these inconsistencies. It’s outrageous the bs these studios get up to. Total rewrites as if our memories are faulty and will accept all the bs they throw at us.
Last, they’re calling her Xi He already. I can’t remember the details anymore but Xi He is the name she took AFTER she returned “from the dead” under a new identity. Her real name is Yun Wangshu, used up to her wedding day. Not Xi He. I’m sure she wouldn’t assume her real name if she was operating as someone else under the noses of deadly enemies which also happen to be the strongest, most influential and brutal individuals in the land, and in control of the most powerful organisations. Xi He is a symbolic alias taken 60 years later.
I hope the explanation I’ll provide will help clear up some of this misunderstanding.
This Xihe’s face is the original. After her fight with Luo Huo, she became the goddess and secured peace for her people for 1000 years.
She probably got bored being a deity and reincarnated, so she was born into the mortal world as Yun Wangshu with no knowledge of her divine self.
Then her fiancé got greedy for power and killed her, which triggered the dragon girl to save her and caused a natural phenomenon, snow on a sunny day (from ep 1).
Master Lu of the silent court, recognized this phenomenon (he always knew who she was from the beginning) and set out to find her. He has hidden motives and wants to use her to accomplish them. This is also why he is leading her to collect the other artifacts to awaken the goddess.
He then gives her the crystal heart and changes her face, but not to Xi He’s original face. He gives her the name Xi He after she successfully merges with the crystal heart because he knows that only the goddess can merge with it.
Xi He is her original name, not an alias. Yun Wangshu is the temporary, or rather, the mortal persona,1000 years later.
Xi He’s original face is given by the dragon girl because she recognizes her as her sister even after losing the rest of her memories (ep 2).
As for the red head, they’re soulmates, CCP censorship at play here, that’s why they were together 1000 years before and after.
