Last episode of this donghua ends today. Welp wasn’t the best, but the animation and fanservice with the jade beauties were there, but lot of people dropped it because the story went nowhere. 🤦♂️

Plot is a part of it, but most people dropped it after the author or studio screwed up and made some bs new plot about ye chen.
If they were going to do this, they should’ve made it like eclipse of illusion, a completely new original donghua without any novel. Not say “adapting” the novel, because 90% of the content/plot was changed.

I can’t recall if the motion comic went past this or not; I do recall it taking several detours that weren’t in this donghua though and frankly it was a better story (prolly because it followed the manhua). Like he got his first wheel eye and then took on a quest from a girl to look for her father in the dead lands who ended up being a friend of the first guy who gave him the wheel eye, and then he got his second wheel eye and was rocking both of them. He still went into the dead lands here but for a different reason and wasn’t rocking both eyes early on.
