Did you read that crap at the end about Zombie Xaio Bai? At the bottom it say he is/was the ruler of all spirit creatures. It seems the studio has either given up or can’t keep track of who Spirit mama chose as her successor. It might be easier making things up as they go. Rather than fighting for the story they agreed to make.
Chinese studios get so tangled up in their own bs they don’t even remember what they did anymore. It’s all about cutting corners and making money, butchering and exploiting scripts to suit their schedules and business partnerships.

Personally I don’t mind if they extend it or end it and start the next one as long as they’re good stories and not rehashes of the first. The next one’s working title is “SL3: Legend of The Dragon King”.

WOW, Huo Yuhao finally remembered his love. It only took him 7eps. A month or two in his world. But the way he was smiling when talking about her. Makes it seem like she’s just out shopping. So there’s nothing to be depressed about. One would think, it’s really important to actually find her Dong’er let alone the girl who looks just like her and who saved his life to sort out how he actually survived after stabbing himself a dozen times. We don’t even get a few seconds of her now that her memories have returned. And now that its time for another Sea Gods Engagement. That will be the best time for her dramatic return.
Why are they wasting time building a pill furnace? Is Tang Sect so broke they don’t have one? No the studio is going to waste the rest of this episode on something that makes absolutely no sense at all. Because there’s nothing else to do. They just wrapped up the big rescue, and Sea Gods Engagement is coming up next. Guess this is what happens when a studio loses control over a show. They’re unable to keep the story flowing properly after steering away from the story.

It wasn’t Yuhao’s fault but man, what a waste of 300.000 years of hard work, only to end up in someone else’s ring collection.
Other people dream of catching ONE decent spirit-soul, Yuhao collects top grades like Long Haochen collects gods and fancy armour; or Bai Xiaochun who has treasures throwing themselves at his feet xD
