This story just gets interesting pity only two episodes. It also gives the same vibe as way of choices but pacing is different and MC are almost(Surname Chen) one with broken bridge of life the other faulty meridians. But i like way of choices MC more he is calculating, calm and more knowledgeable thanks to his master.
Yeah, the only sad thing with Chen Ping’an is he grew up like an orphan setting when his parents died. 😔😔😔 And he is still learning about some stuff even to this day.
I’ve read both. Way of Choice isn’t bad in the first half, but after that, it’s pretty bad. The protagonist Chen Chansheng lacks Chen Ping’an’s character and decisiveness. Both protagonists strive to be good people with a clear conscience in a chaotic world, but Chen Ping’an makes a real effort, making mistakes and trying to fix them, and he matures and truly grows personally. Chen Chansheng, however, disappointed me greatly in the second half of the story. He’s practically inept, and all the difficult decisions are made by his friends, allowing him to maintain a clear conscience. Oh, tastes vary, this is just my opinion.

No, you’re absolutely right. They brought forward the meeting with He Xiaoliang and Chen Ping’an and the conversation between Lu Chen and He Xiaoliang, to make the story more linear and understandable. In fact, compared to the novel, here the character of Zuo Zi is introduced first, briefly explaining who he is, making it easier to understand the words Cui Chan addresses to Chen Ping’an, especially since Chen Ping’an will most likely meet him again in the next season (assuming the third season will have more than 27 episodes). As for the confrontation between Chen Ping’an and Li Baozen, I think it was brought forward only to give the protagonist a “small moment of glory” since he hasn’t done “anything significant” this season.
Yeah, thought so. because i vividly remember confrontation between Li baozen and ping, it was supposed to happen way later when Chenping was returning home from after saving that family or manor with girl from *salecite mountain falling in love with scholar (I don’t fully remember) around like somewhere between 500 to 600 chapter not at 200 chapter mark. It marks that after this fight if he encounter Li baozen next time, he would die. Similar with He Xiaolian, she leaves for founding her own sect. However, it doesn’t feel overall out of place, so I guess no complain.
