This donghua will stress the life out of you. They talk for over 24 minutes, different characters popping out from nowhere, so many politics coming and going. MC is still weak as f*ck, not to mention he is a massive Pussy and hides behind women to battle for him. I literally skip and forward. this is the slowest most confusing donghua I have ever witnessed in my entirely life. its literally baseless and stupid.

It is a rather thoughtful donghua and obviously not supposed to be an adrenaline and dopamine trip. You have to pay attention and might also have to remember what happened a few episodes ago.
Though it has its action, the focus lies in reflections on fate and karma.
And yes, he’s weak compared to others you see – some of which are at the highest level that can still walk his world – but he’s still progressing pretty fast if you think of where he started and how long it took him.
We don’t have the ego-trip here where he’s fighting and winning against others of his level all the time to show how powerful he is. Which i’m rather happy about as that gets old fast.

Just google the parts you are confused at brother. You can get the details. I have made a note full of characters, stuffs like Four Great worlds, Four Great Saints, Four Sages and what not, lol. Once, you get that out of way, you will enjoy this show. For instance, my note bore fruit when the grandpa said, “Are you the sub-sage?” cuz I had googled what the sages were beforehand and had the answer upfront as (Ritual Sage, Literary Sage, Sub Sage, and Complex Sage). In addition, I got hella confused with Qingming Tanxia and Haoren Tanxia shit and the connection of Cui Chan and Lu Chen with these world, but once I learnt about the Four Great Worlds everything made sense. Also, just knowing this wasn’t at anyway a spoiler. Unfortunately, donghua cannot keep up with every tidbit of details as in novel, bro. So, you’ve got to put some extra effort to it for you to like this donghua. Else, it’s all zigzag puzzle and random character shit everywhere lol.
the animation is superb, but story is not your usual cultivation plot, it can be difficult to understand. Lots of Politics going on too. And yes MC is weak, but I think that’s part of his character development, it can be slow.

Would anyone know if the fight choreography in this episode was done with motion capture?
I noticed about a year ago that fight sequences in my favorite donghuas were getting faster & hitting harder. Sure enough, I finally saw a video of a demo team doing wire work motion capture that was reminiscent of the same demo team work I see in cdramas.
The fight scene in this week’s episode was crazy good….and I have a suspicion that it was done with motion capture. Anyone know?
